Frequently asked questions

Don't see your question? Email us at hello@aroundtheworldtravelclub.com or request a quote.

Does it cost extra to plan with you?

Ask us about any fees up front. We'll always be clear about what you're paying for before you book.

Is there a membership fee to join the club?

No. "Club" is just part of our name, a playful nod to a favorite song. There's no membership fee to work with us, and anyone can request a quote. [PLACEHOLDER: Julio to confirm]

I've never been on a cruise. Can you help?

Absolutely. First-time cruisers are some of our favorite people to plan for. We'll explain how cruising works, help you choose a cruise line, ship and stateroom that fit your group, and walk you through what to expect from booking to boarding day.

What information do you need for a quote?

The basics: roughly when you'd like to travel, how flexible your dates are, how many adults and children are going (with kids' ages), your preferred departure port and a comfortable budget range. The quote form covers all of it.

Which departure ports can I sail from?

It depends on the cruise line and itinerary. Southern California travelers often look at West Coast ports for Mexico and Pacific sailings, while many Caribbean and Bahamas cruises depart from Florida. We can compare options, including whether flying to another port makes sense.

Do I need a passport to cruise?

Requirements depend on your itinerary and citizenship. A valid passport is strongly recommended for any cruise, and it's required for many itineraries. Always confirm current requirements with official government sources and your cruise line before you travel.

Do you plan Disneyland and Hawaii vacations, too?

Yes. Along with cruises, we help plan Disneyland Resort vacations (hotels, tickets and planning tips) and Hawaii vacations, including Aulani on Oʻahu and stays on Maui and Kauaʻi.

Which Hawaiian island is right for us?

It depends on what you're after. Aulani on Oʻahu pairs a Disney resort stay with an island that's easy to explore, Maui mixes resort beaches with adventures like Haleakalā and the Road to Hāna, and Kauaʻi is all about lush scenery and a slower pace. Tell us what you enjoy and we'll help you compare, including trips that combine more than one island.

Can you find me a deal?

Cruise lines, resorts and Disney set their own prices and promotions. We'll help you understand the options available for your dates and let you know about current offers that apply to your trip.

What happens after I book?

We'll keep track of important dates like final payment, and help with things like online check-in, onboard or activity reservations and travel documents, so you know what to do and when.

Should I get travel insurance?

Travel protection can help with unexpected cancellations, medical issues and delays. We can help you compare options so you can decide what's right for your trip.

Still deciding?

Send us what you know so far, even if it's just "a cruise sometime next year."
